JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's soccer team picked up a win against the Millikin University Big Blue with a final of 2-1. This is the Blueboys fourth straight victory and puts them at 5-2 overall this season as they begin conference competition.
IC was able to strike first after
Nick Walter was able to set up
Tyler Schiltz for the goal in the ninth minute. IC held Millikin to just four shots in the first half as the Blueboys stood ahead 1-0 heading into halftime.Â
Chris Jean-Louis connected with a header after a corner kick by Schiltz to start the second half extending the Blueboys lead to 2-0. Millikin would answer with a goal of their own in the 74th minute to decrease the deficit. The Blueboys would hang on only allowing Millikin three shots in the second half to earn the victory.

Owen Macias split time in the goal for IC each recording one save in the match.Â
The team will begin MWC play traveling to take on Grinnell College on Saturday, 9/25 at 1:30 PM.Â
