SPRINGFIELD, Ill.- The Illinois College athletics department hosted the 4th Annual IC Athletics Golf Outing this past Friday at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield. The outing was a huge success as IC athletics welcomed over 100 golfers to this years event. With multiple donations and 36 sponsors, the athletic department was able to raise money to help support the different athletic teams and student-athletes on campus.
The first flight was won by Shane Patton, Trevor Scott, Trent Schauster, and Mark Schauster after an intense putt off. The team finished with a score of 54 on the par 72 course. The team of
Jordan Bowman, Adam Range, Jeff Whiteside, and Adam Dean claimed second place in the first flight also with a score of 54. The second flight first place team was made up of Dan Vida, Danny Vida, and Andrew Kutcka shooting a total score of 64. The second place winner in the second flight was the team made up of Mike Halsne, Marc Briney, Mike Lansen, and Doug Reese shooting a 64.
Many other prizes and giveaways were awarded to the golfers based on the different competitions spread out across the course. Some of these events included longest drive, closest to the pin, longest made putt, 50/50 raffles, scratch offs, and skins game.

Next years IC Athletics Golf Outing will take place on August 5, 2022 at The Rail Golf Course. Registration will begin at 11:00 AM and the start of the event will be at 1:00 PM.
