MOUNT VERNON, Iowa- The Illinois College Lady Blues women's basketball team earned a win on the road against the Cornell College Rams with a final score of 69-53. This win improves the Lady Blues to 5-4 overall this season.
Lilly Pepper led the team with 18 points on the night. Other double figure scorers included
Megan Price with 13 and
Madison Schoenfeld with 12. Shoenfeld also led the team with eight rebounds.
The Lady Blues would jump to an early lead outscoring the Rams 20-14 at the end of the first quarter. Illinois College would hold onto the lead for the remainder of the game to earn the win over Cornell.
Illinois College will host Knox College in their next contest on Saturday, 3/13 at 1:00 PM.
