JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues were able to pick up a win in their last home game of the season against Knox College with a final of 72-49.
IC was led by
Junie Zirkelbach offensively earning a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Other double figure scorers included
Lilly Pepper and
Megan Price each totaling 10 points in the contest.
The Lady Blues would get off to an early lead outscoring Knox 15-11 in the first quarter. IC would turn up the defensive intensity to limit the scoring of Knox in the second quarter to stand ahead 33-16 at the end of the first half.
The lead would be too much to overcome for Knox and the Lady Blues would earn the win to improve to 6-4 overall this season.
Illinois College will travel to take on Knox College once again on the road Sunday, 3/14 at 1:00 PM.
