JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys suffered a loss to the Loras College Duhawks at home on Saturday with a final score of 15-5. This drops the Blueboys to 1-3 overall this season.
Loras would get off to an early start jumping to a 4-0 lead after the top of the third. A double by Kasai was able to bring in three runs by
James Marcinkowski,
Bailey Reed, and
Peyton Phillis to put the Blueboys back in the game down 4-3 to end the third inning.
Loras was able to showcase their big hitters to create a demanding lead after that. The Blueboys could not answer and would suffer the loss.
Brian Kindt would get the loss at the pitchers position for IC to drop to 0-1 overall this season.
The Blueboys will face Augustana College (Ill.) on Sunday, 3/7 in a doubleheader starting at 11:00 PM.
