FULTON, Mo.- The Illinois College men's soccer team traveled to take on Westminster College on Sunday. The team suffered a loss to the Blue Jays with a final of 1-0.
The match proved to be a close contest with both teams scoreless after the first half. Illinois College recorded five shots compared to Westminster's six shots through the first 45 minutes.
Westminster would connect on a deep goal by Noah Pierce in the final minutes to earn the win 1-0.
Tyler Schiltz led the Blueboys offense with three shots.
Raul Rubalcava and
Caleb Fink split time in the goal for the Blueboys totaling five saves in the contest.
The Blueboys will look ahead to host Knox College on Tuesday, 3/23 at 4:30 PM
