GALESBURG, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys picked up a win on the road against the Knox College Prairie Fire with a final of 66-47. The team improves to 6-2 overall this season with the victory.
Hunter Ottensmeier led the Blueboys in scoring totaling 26 points on the night.
Tre Rogers finished the game with a double-double earning 12 points and 10 rebounds.Â
Illinois College would start the game off strong jumping ahead 18-4 in the first ten minutes. A made three point basket by Rogers would put the Blueboys up 37-20 to end the first half.Â
IC would continue to control the lead in the second half.
Troy Burrows was able to hit a jump shot with 10:47 to play to give the Blueboys their biggest lead of the day at 57-34. Illinois College would maintain their lead for the remainder of the contest to earn the win.Â
The Blueboys will host Knox College in their next contest on Sunday, 3/14 at 2:00 PM.
