FULTON, Mo.- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face Westminster College on Thursday night. IC dropped to 2-2 overall after falling to the Blue Jays with a final score of 89-59.
Illinois College was led by
Junie Zirkelbach totaling 14 points in the contest. Other double figure scorers included
Ashlyn Wightman with 10 and Madison Shoenfeld with 11. Sidney Himmelman led the team on the boards totaling eight rebounds on the night.
Westminster was able to get off to a hot start outscoring the Lady Blues 50-33 at halftime. At the end of the day the deficit proved to be too much for the Lady Blues to overcome as Westminster improved to 2-1 overall with the win.
Illinois College will hit the road to take on the Cornell College Rams on Saturday, 2/20 at 3:00 PM.
