RIPON, Wis.- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face Ripon College in MWC action on Saturday. The team came up short suffering a loss to the Red Hawks with a final of 66-79. This drops the Lady Blues to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the MWC.
Lilly Pepper and
Kendra Bass led the team in scoring with 16 points each.
Junie Zirkelbach was also able to reach double figures with 10 points in the contest. Pepper led the team on the boards with eight rebounds.
The Lady Blues found themselves in a tough matchup against the Red Hawks. The team would trail 26-39 at the end of the first half. Ripon was able to maintain a demanding lead for the rest of the contest to walk away with the victory.
IC will continue conference play on the road against Monmouth College on Wednesday, 12/8 at 7:30 PM.
