ROCK ISLAND, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys traveled to face Augustana College Tuesday night. The team suffered a loss to the Vikings with a final of 61-64. This drops the Blueboys to 4-3 overall.
IC was led by
Jake Mazrimas scoring 12 points in the contest. He was followed by
Hunter Ottensmeier who totaled 10 points, and led the team in rebounding with nine.
The Blueboys were able to tie the contest with 4:49 left in the second half after a made layup by
Nestor Daboin to make the score 54-54. Down the stretch, Augustana put together a four point lead. Ottensmeier was able to hit a three-pointer to bring the Blueboys back to within one with only 9 seconds remaining in the contest. Augustana was able to sink their free throws to hold off the late game comeback by IC.
The Blueboys will begin Midwest Conference play on Tuesday, 11/30 at 5:30 PM.
