ANDERSON, Ind.- The Illinois College men's basketball team traveled to face Anderson University on Wednesday night. The Blueboys suffered a loss to the Ravens with a final of 48-64. This drops the Blueboys to 3-2 overall this season.
Troy Burrows led the team in scoring with 13 points. He was followed by
Mohammed Fadika (12) and
Benton Singleton (10) also reaching double figures in scoring.
Hunter Ottensmeier led the team on the boards recording six rebounds in the contest.
Anderson got off to a strong start against IC. The Ravens built a strong lead heading into halftime with a score of 20-37. The Blueboys would battle back in the second half cutting the lead to eight points on a made jump shot by
Benton Singleton with 5:43 left in the game. The Ravens would hold off the Blueboys to earn the win in their home opener.
IC will travel to face Millikin University on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 4:00 PM.
