ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Illinois College cheer team participated in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Nationals Qualifying Camp this past weekend at Lindenwood University. The IC team earned both a bronze bid and a place at NCA Nationals for the second year in a row.
The camp brought schools to Lindenwood from far and wide. Among the competitors at the event were Grambling State, Maryville, SIU-Edwardsville, Saint Louis and Missouri. Each team was asked to create and perform a 45-second crowd leading cheer.
The 2020 NCA Nationals will be held in Daytona Beach, Fla. from April 8-12. The dance team will join the cheer team at this year's event and will be competing together in the game day division.
