Box Score GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Illinois College men's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday morning, dropping their first Midwest Conference match of the season with a 7-2 loss at St. Norbert College. The Blueboys fall to 6-7 (3-1 MWC) on the year.

Coming off of a pair of matches on Saturday, Illinois College had to mentally and physically regroup in a hurry to get ready for another match on Sunday. St. Norbert jumped ahead early, 2-1, after doubles. Miguel Vaca and Michael Connolly teamed up for an IC point in the No. 1 match, defeating Andrew Genring and Johnny Zanotti, 8-5.

In singles, St. Norbert made it 3-1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win for Porter Beilfuss over Connor McAndrew in the No. 6 match. That was countered by Vaca's 6-0, 6-2 victory over Zanotti at No. 1 to make it 3-2. The Green Knights finished it off soon after that though, with wins at Nos. 4 and 5 over Cameron Doerr and Jacob McQueen

Down the stretch, St. Norbert added wins at Nos. 2 and 3 with 1-6, 7-6, 10-5 win for Matt La Violette over Jonah Wheeland and a 6-3, 7-5 win by Luke Andrekus over Connolly.

The Blueboys come home to the Bellatti Tennis Complex for four straight matches starting next weekend. First up is an April 6 match with Lake Forest College at 9 a.m.
