LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team fell to Lake Forest College in its final road match of the 2019 season, 7-0, on Saturday. Despite 24 saves from
Charlotte Crofton, the Lady Blues were unable to muster much support for their goalkeeper on the offensive end and fell to 5-12-0 on the season.
Lake Forest blitzed Illinois College with five goals in the span of 18 minutes in the first half. Alyssa Xanos scored twice early on in the ninth and 13th minutes to stake the Foresters to a 2-0 lead. A 26th-minute goal from Grace Monshausen closed the scoring in the first half to put the home side ahead by five at the break.
Goals in the 57th and 62nd minute closed out the scoring on the day for Lake Forest. Illinois College was able to slow the tide of shots slightly better in the second half and managed four of its own, but the two shots on target were each saved by Sandra Greco and Aimee Vollmann.

Hannah Weid were the two players with shots on target in the match for IC.
Annie Burns also had a shot attempt.
Illinois College is back home on Nov. 2 for Senior Day at 11 a.m. against Grinnell College.
