JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The 23 varsity programs at Illinois College combined for an overall grade-point average of 2.97 in the Fall 2018 semester. The women's basketball team had the highest team G.P.A. as the Lady Blues posted a 3.482. The men's tennis team had the highest G.P.A. among male sports, posting a collective 3.307.
In total, 18 programs ended with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. A total of 126 student-athletes had a 3.5 or above, while 25 from that select group ended with a perfect 4.0.
After the women's basketball team, the Illinois College volleyball team had the second-highest team G.P.A. with a 3.461. The softball team was third with a 3.367. After the men's tennis team, the dance team rounded out the top five team G.P.A.'s with a 3.296.
