JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – For the second week in a row, a snowstorm sweeping through the region is creating havoc for the scheduled Illinois College events. On Saturday, all six winter sports have postponed events due to the latest weather system.

Saturday afternoon was scheduled to be a home Midwest Conference doubleheader for Illinois College against visiting Cornell College. Those two contests are now pushed back to Feb. 7. The Lady Blues will start that doubleheader at 5:30 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The start of the track & field season will also be delayed by a week as Illinois College will be unable to host the Snow Bird Invite. No make-up date for the track meet has yet been determined.

The two teams on the road this weekend were the IC men's and women's swimming & diving teams. For the second straight week, the Blueboys and Lady Blues will be unable to compete due to travel conditions. Last week's meet against the University of St. Mary was cancelled due to St. Mary being unable to make it to Jacksonville from Kansas. No make-up date has been announced for that meet and the two teams will now be looking to return to action on Jan. 26 with Principia College's Panther Invite in Elsah, Ill.
