JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Coming off of a successful first-time event in 2018, the Illinois College Athletics Department is pleased to be holding a 2nd Annual Sport Skills Camp on February 16 to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The free camp is open to all girls from kindergarten through eighth grade and nearly every women's sport offered by IC will be represented.

The day begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. in the Bruner Center Concourse. From there, campers will meet the student-athletes and coaches of Illinois College and begin the camp at 10 a.m. Under the direction of various Illinois College coaches and student-athletes, campers will gain instruction in a number of sports offered by IC. Following that, everyone will cross the street to Cummings Dining Hall for Lunch with the Lady Blues from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Following their meal, campers and their families are welcome to stay for the Midwest Conference doubleheader between Illinois College and Lawrence. There is free admission for all registered campers and their families.

Sign-up is open from now through the day of the camp and all participants will receive a free lanyard. If you register by Feb. 8, you will also receive a free camp t-shirt. If you have any questions, contact Illinois College Head Volleyball Coach Kristy Duncan at 217-245-3403 or by email at kristy.duncan@ic.edu.
