ELSAH, Ill. – Playing in the first non-tournament match of the season on Tuesday night, the Illinois College volleyball team had their offensive issues from the past weekend at Rose-Hulman follow them to Principia College. The Panthers had 46 kills in the match, compared to 28 for IC, helping Principia pick up the 25-22, 25-17, 25-19 victory. The Lady Blues fall to 3-6 on the season.
Illinois College was led offensively by Maddie Ramsey with seven kills.
Kori Hayes and
Ali Pankey each ended with six kills apiece. Hayes also recorded a solo block and a block assist, while Pankey had five digs and a block assist.
Elizabeth Ganley notched a double-double with 19 assists and 12 digs.
Madie Budd and
Emily Woods each had double-digit digs as well, ending with 10 apiece.
Illinois College returns to a tournament format again this weekend with its second home tournament of 2017. The Lady Blues will welcome in eight other squads and play four matches in Sherman Gymnasium on Sept. 15 and 16.
