ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Illinois College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Wartburg College on Saturday, falling 15-25, 12-25, 16-25. The Knights received votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll and improve to 20-5 on the season with the win.
Ali Pankey was named to the Augustana All-Tournament Team this weekend, and she tied for the team high in kills on Saturday along with
Kori Hayes. The sophomores each tallied seven on the day. Pankey ends 2017 with 391 kills on the year, the eighth-highest single-season total in Illinois College history.
Elizabeth Ganley once again produced a double-double, this time with 18 assists and 16 digs.
Cheyanne Jockisch joined her with 16 digs on the day, while Pankey and
Madie Budd each had 10 in the match. Jockisch had both of Illinois College's aces against the Knights.
The Lady Blues end the 2017 season with a record of 13-16 (4-5 Midwest Conference).
