JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's tennis team got its 2015 campaign underway on Sunday at King Field House inside the Bruner Center. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the start that the Blueboys would have preferred. Millikin University started the match ahead by a score of 2-0 and ended the day with a 9-0 sweep of IC.
Anthony Samples manned the No. 1 spot for the Blueboys, but he lost a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Millikin's Emerick Fulton.
T.J. Lawal battled hard at No. 3 but lost to Noah Klumpe, 6-1, 6-0.

DeVaughn Green and
Brandon Hollenbeck all lost 6-0, 6-0 matches in singles at Nos. 2, 4 and 5, respectively.
Illinois College will have nearly a full month off before its next competition. The Blueboys will host Webster University at 9 a.m. and Judson University at 3 p.m. on March 21.
