John Hoefert was victorious in No. 1 singles action, but that was the only point the Illinois College men's tennis team would score in an 8-1 loss to visiting Kaskaskia College on Tuesday at the Bellatii Tennis Complex in Jacksonville.
Hoefert won by scores of 6-2, 4-6, 15-13, to claim Illinois College's lone point in the match.

Austin Ellsworth all came up short in singles play, as did the doubles teams of
John Hoefert and Samples,
Michael Hoefert and Brown, and Null and Ellsworth.
The Blueboys fell to 0-2 with the loss. They host Lake Forest College and Webster University on Saturday.
