Volleyball loses MWC opener to Knox in four games

The Illinois College volleyball team lost its Midwest Conference opener to Knox College in four games on Tuesday at Sherman Gymnasium in Jacksonville. Knox won by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Megan Moore led IC with a match-high 16 kills. Lisa Lowry and Alese Speckhart added eight and nine kills, respectively. Maurissa Moulton dished out 20 assists and Speckhart made 19 digs.

The Lady Blues fell to 2-11 overall and 0-1 in Midwest Conference play. They return to action on October 4 when they host Carroll University.
