The Illinois College men's tennis team fell in its first matches of the 2013 season on Saturday, dropping 9-0 decisions to Cornell College and Webster University.
Colin Ladd,
Joshua Kuehn, Anthony Samples,
Matt Newman and
Caleb Brown lost in singles play against both Cornell and Webster.
Evan Casper lost a singles match against Cornell and
Sheldon Null lost a singles match against Webster.
The doubles teams of Ladd and Kuehn, and Samples and Newman were also unsuccessful against both opponents. Brown and Null lost their doubles match to Cornell and Brown and Casper lost a doubles match to Webster.
IC fell to 0-2 with the losses. The Blueboys host Western Illinois University and Lindenwood University Belleville on Tuesday.
