Alese Speckhart tallied a season-high 18 kills but it wasn't enough on Friday as the Illinois College volleyball team fell to Grinnell College in four games in Jacksonville. Grinnell won by scores of 25-14, 25-19, 15-25, 25-20.
Speckhart's 18 kills led all players.
Megan Moore and
Hailey Feigl added six and seven kills, respectively, for the Lady Blues.
Maurissa Moulton had a team-high 16 assists, while
Courtney Louveau dished out 14. Speckhart also led the Lady Blues with 17 digs.
Illinois College seniors
Allye Wuest, Moore and Speckhart were honored before the game as part of Senior Night festivities.
The Lady Blues fell to 3-17 overall and 0-7 in the Midwest Conference with the loss. They host Cornell College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
