IC volleyball falls to Monmouth, 3-1

The Illinois College volleyball team won the first set but lost the next three Tuesday night in its Midwest Conference opener against Monmouth College. Monmouth won 17-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-20.

Megan Moore posted a match-high 15 kills for the Lady Blues. Brittney Burgess added 11 more. Maurissa Moulton had 34 assists and 11 digs. Maddy Keith had four blocks. Kayla Birdsell had a team-high 23 digs.

Illinois College fell to 3-7 overall and 0-1 in Midwest Conference play with the loss. The Lady Blues travel to Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
