IC volleyball earns first MWC win, beats Knox in three games

The Illinois College volleyball team earned its first Midwest Conference win of the season, taking a three-game win at Knox College Tuesday night in Galesburg. The Lady Blues won 25-12, 25-22, 25-22.

Brittney Burgess recorded a team-high 13 kills. Missy Norville and Alese Speckhart added seven and eight kills, respectively. Maurissa Moulton dished out 29 assists and Kayla Birdsell tallied 20 digs. Burgess chipped in 11 digs and four aces.

The Lady Blues improved to 6-9 overall and 1-1 in MWC play. They host Lawrence University Friday night at 7 p.m.
