This is the ninth year for Shawn Woods Jr. as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Illinois College.
Woods., graduated from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo. with an Athletic Training major and Biology minor in 2015. He would then go on to earn a M.B.L from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa in 2017.
While enrolled at Culver-Stockton, Woods worked with the football, softball, men's basketball, and women's basketball programs for the Wildcats. During this period, he also worked with also worked with Quincy University and its men's soccer, women's soccer, and men's volleyball programs.
At William Penn, Woods was the trainer for women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, and football. Along with his duties with the Statesmen, he worked for North Mahaska High School and Brooklyn-Guernsey-Malcom High School.
Woods is certified in the Graston Technique, as an American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor, and as a BOC Athletic Trainer. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations including the Illinois Athletic Trainers' Association (IATA) and the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
