Dillan Baum

Dillan Baum is in his second season with the Illinois College volleyball program.

Baum's first season on the Hilltop saw the Lady Blues finish 14-15 overall and 5-3 in the Midwest Conference and IC reach the semifinals of the conference tournament. Laura Kaiser and Ligaya Garibay both earned first-team all-conference honors, and Alex Johnson was on the league’s second team. Kaiser set a school record for attack percentage with a .842 hitting percentage after recording 16 kills on 19 attempts in a match against Lawrence.

Dillon brings a wealth of volleyball coaching and playing experience to the Lady Blues. He has spent eight years as a member of the coaching staff at the Illini United Volleyball Club. While working with the club, he also coached at the collegiate level, sesrving as an assistant at Augustana College from 2017-21. Dillan’s resume also includes coaching stints at the prep level at Warrensburg-Latham and Mt. Zion high schools.

Aside from his coaching experience, Baum has taught at the Dennis Lab Middle School in Decatur, IL.

As a player, Baum was a member of the Augustana men’s varsity volleyball team from 2017-21.

Baum earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & Graphic Design/Art from Augustana in 2021.
