Claire Scully

Claire Scully will be in her second season as the head coach for the Illinois College volleyball program during the 2025 campaign.

Scully’s first season on the Hilltop saw the Lady Blues finish 14-15 overall and 5-3 in the Midwest Conference and IC reach the semifinals of the conference tournament. Laura Kaiser and Ligaya Garibay both earned first-team all-conference honors, and Alex Johnson was on the league’s second team. Kaiser set a school record for attack percentage with a .842 hitting percentage after recording 16 kills on 19 attempts in a match against Lawrence. Garibay led the squad in kills, service aces, and digs.

Scully came to Jacksonville after working as an assistant coach for the Washington College women’s team for the past two seasons. During her tenure with the Shorewomen, the team won 18 matches and achieved the AVCA/USMC Team Academic Award. Scully also served as the social media coordinator for the athletics department.
 
Prior to joining the Washington College staff, Scully was an assistant coach at William Paterson University in 2021. She helped guide the team to an NJAC playoff berth and had multiple players earn weekly conference honors.
 
Scully was the head coach at Mount Saint Dominic Academy (2019-21), Golda OCH Academy (2017-18), and Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club (2018-21). She was also an assistant and head coach for Phoenix Volleyball NJ (2013-18) and has served as a site director for GEVA High Performance Volleyball (2017-21).
 
As a player, Scully was a four-year member of the volleyball team at Mount Saint Mary College and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the school in 2017.
