Maxwell Schweitzer enters his first season as an assistant coach for IC track & field teams in the 2023-24 season.

Schweitzer was a four-year member of the Illinois State University track & field team where he competed in the Missouri Valley Conference. While at ISU, Schweitzer was the 2022 MVC Outdoor runner-up in the pole vault. Schweitzer currently ranks seventh All-Time in the ISU Indoor Pole Vault record books while ranking ninth All-Time in the ISU Outdoor Pole Vault record books. Schweitzer was a 4x All-MVC honor roll recipient.

Prior to IC, Schweitzer served as a Volunteer for the Men's and Women's ISU track teams and served as the Co-Director of McHenry Vault Fest in 2023. 

Schweitzer graduated from ISU in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Coaching. He has a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification.
