Andrew Bartelmo

Andrew Bartelmo enters his sixth season as the head men's tennis coach and fifth as head women's tennis coach at Illinois College in 2018-19.

Under Bartelmo'sĀ guidance, the Illinois College tennis programs have climbed from the bottom of the Midwest Conference and are now challenging the upper echelon of conference foes. In 2017-18, both the men's and women's programs tied single-season records for overall victories in a season. Miguel Vaca became the winningest singles player in school history while teaming with Michael Connolly to form the winningest doubles tandem in IC history as well.

Bartelmo, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management from Coastal Carolina University in 2012. He was a member of the men’s tennis team at Vincennes University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Bartelmo has previously served as an assistant men’s tennis coach at Anderson University, and has worked at the Hall of Fame Tennis Club in Newport, Rhode Island, and the Lesley Joseph Tennis Academy, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bartelmo resides in Jacksonville.
