Caitlyn Moody begins her fifth year in administration in 2021-22 after four seasons as assistant women’s basketball coach at Illinois College. Hired as the director of athletic facilities & compliance in 2017, Moody was promoted to the assistant athletics director for internal operations in 2019. In her role with the department, she handles all aspects of compliance and game management.

Moody, a native of Chatham, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree from Missouri Baptist University. Moody was a standout member of UMSL’s women’s basketball team as a four-year starter and all-conference selection. Moody got her start in coaching at Missouri Baptist, where she served as an assistant women’s basketball coach.

In 2019, Moody was recognized by the Collegiate Event and Facilities Management Association (CEFMA) as the Facility Manager of the Year across all levels of college athletics.

2018 was a very busy year for the expansion and renovation of the athletics facilities at Illinois College. Moody played a very large role in project management with each of them. In addition to managing the specific projects, she also continued to handle all standard facility operation procedures, including campus event coordination, booking all events occurring within the athletic facilities and serving on the department senior staff.

Some of the projects that Moody oversaw in her tenure for Illinois College have included the replacement of the Green Athletic Field turf, the installation of the Charlie Bellatti Scoreboard, the redesign and resurfacing of Bill Merris Court, the renovation of the Bellatti Fitness Center to include both an upgraded varsity weight room as well as the construction of cardiovascular and machine weight rooms, the purchase and installation of LED scorer's tables for Sherman Gymnasium, the installation of ADA-compliant seating at England Stadium and the renovation of the Varsity Women's Locker Room. The summer of 2020 is bringing continued enhancements to the Bruner Center. For the first time since the building opened in 2003, the surface of King Fieldhouse is being redone.
