Elisha Nelson begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Illinois College swimming & diving programs in 2018-19. Nelson is an IC alum and a former school-record holder.

A 2014 graduate of Illinois College, Nelson swam her final three seasons for the Lady Blues after transferring from Illinois State University. She was named the Team MVP for the women in each of her three years with the team.

At one point, Nelson held the school records in the 200 IM, 100 Breaststroke and 200 Breaststroke. She still has times that rank in the Top 5 in each event in school history. She also was a part of numerous record-setting relay teams. 

At the Midwest Conference level, Nelson qualified for the "A" Final and was a top-eight finisher in the both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke as a sophomore and junior. As a senior, she ended as a top-ten finisher in the 200 Breaststroke and in the top eight in the 100 Breaststroke.
