Zack Jadzak is in his first season on the IC men’s basketball staff.
"We are very excited to add Zack to our coaching staff. It is always our goal to surround our program with the best people we can. To be able to add a veteran coach who has been a part of some very successful programs and also has significant recruiting connections throughout our region is a huge win for us,” Schweer said. “I have known Zack for a long time now and had a chance to work with him previously, and he fits exactly what we look for in members of our coaching staff: relentless workers who have a passion for the game of basketball and love working with student-athletes to help them achieve their goals. We are looking forward to welcoming Zack to Jacksonville and Illinois College!"
Jadzak comes to the Hilltop from Buena Vista where he has been a member of the coaching staff since the 2019-20 season.
Prior to arriving at BVU, Jadzak had served as a graduate assistant at North Central College for two seasons and was part of consecutive NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances. During his tenure, the Cardinals posted a 42-15 record. Zack helped coach a pair of first-team all-conference selections as well as a third-team All-American.
Before his time at North Central, Jadzak was an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Aurora University. He also served as the assistant head coach at Blackburn College before joining the staff at Aurora.
Along with his collegiate duties, Jadzak has been the head coach of the 17-under Mercury Elite Basketball team based in Wheaton, Ill. since 2014. Throughout his coaching career, Zack has worked numerous basketball camps at schools such as Ohio State, Illinois, and VCU.
Jadzak played collegiately at Saint Ambrose from 2011-15 where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education. He also holds a master’s degree in Leadership Studies from North Central.
