Wes Welnack begins his second season with the Illinois College football team in 2017. Welnack is the Special Teams Coordinator for the Blueboys as well as a coach of the running backs.

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Welnack has previously served as the Tight Ends Coach at Cal Lutheran University where he produced two All-SCIAC selections, and at NAIA program Montana Tech University.

Welnack resides in Jacksonville.
