Ray DeFrisco

Ray DeFrisco enters his eighth year as an assistant football coach and sixth as defensive coordinator at Illinois College. DeFrisco has previously served as the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator, special teams coordinator and defensive line coach. He also serves as the head men’s golf coach at Illinois College, a post he has held for the past six years.

DeFrisco earned his bachelor’s degree from North Park University, where he was a standout defensive lineman, in 2002. He earned his master’s degree from Ashford University in 2010. Before coming to Illinois College, DeFrisco served as an assistant director of admissions and taught physical education and health, while also getting his start in coaching, at St. Patrick High School in Chicago. DeFrisco served as head coach of the sophomore football team and an assistant coach for the varsity team.

DeFrisco and his wife, Krista, reside in Jacksonville with their children: Aiden, Peyton and Gemma.
