Randon Recker joined the Illinois College Football staff in the summer of 2022 as a Defensive Backs coach.

Prior to Illinois College, he coached at Illinois Wesleyan University as an assistant defensive backs and linebackers coach. 

Recker coached at University High School in Normal, for four years as an assistant coach and two years as the defensive coordinator and strength coach.

Recker was on the staff of the C.I. Royals indoor football team as the special teams coordinator and linebackers coach for two seasons (2021, 2022). The Royals finished with the number one defense in their league and back-to-back championship titles.

In 2018, Recker was the receiver coach for the Bloomington Edge indoor arena football team who finished undefeated in the regular season.

A native of Dunlap, Ill., Recker graduated from Illinois State University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in education and is a special education teacher at Jacksonville Middle School.
