Peyton Allen begins his second season as the defensive line coach for the Blueboys in 2023.

Prior to IC, Allen spent one year as the defensive line graduate assistant at Texas A&M-Commerce. During his time with the Lions, Allen served as second in command of the defensive line position group as well as serving as the interim director of football operations.

Originally from Hampstead, Md., Allen played collegiately at Bridgewater College (Va.) first as a linebacker before moving to running back. He then began his coaching career as a student assistant working first with the tight ends and finally with the linebackers. While serving as a student assistant, Allen was awarded the Bridgewater College Golden Wing Award. The Golden Wing is awarded to the individual who embodies team culture and work ethic. Following his time with Bridgewater, Allen served as the defensive line coach at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. In the Spring of 2021, he served as the inside linebackers coach at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. before joining the staff at Texas A&M-Commerce.

Allen graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Science and a minor in Coaching.
