Murdoch is entering his first year as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback coach at Illinois College. He has spent the past four seasons as the head football coach at Payson High School in Payson, Utah and Desert Hills High School located in St. George, Utah.

While there, he led his teams to a playoff berth each year and competed for the region championship three out of four years. His offense consistently ranked at the top of the state in yards and points scored regardless of classification. He has been fortunate to coach many athletes who have moved on to compete in multiple divisions at the collegiate level. 

Before Coaching at Desert Hills, Coach Murdoch was the running backs coach at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah where he was privileged to coach the Junior College Offensive player of the year and current Pittsburgh Steeler, Jaylen Warren. Before Snow College, Coach Murdoch coached defensive backs at Springville High School in Springville, Utah where they went 13-1 on the season with their only loss coming in the state championship game.
