The 2024 campaign will be the first for Chidubem Okonkwo as a member of the Illinois College coaching staff as he coaches the outside linebackers.

Chidubem comes to the Hilltop after serving as the running backs coach and Director of Football Video at Virginia University of Lynchburg for the past two seasons.

Chidubem’s coaching career began as a volunteer coach working with the running backs at Gannon University during the spring COVID season from September 2020 - April 2021.

A native of Long Beach, California, Chidubem received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California State University, Fresno, and a master’s in organizational management from Virginia University of Lynch. He resides in Jacksonville.
