What is the Queen of Hearts game? This is a weekly 50/50 progressive raffle. Players participate by purchasing a ticket at the bar; tickets are $1 each. A player can buy as many tickets as he/she likes. The player must write his/her name and telephone number on the back of the ticket(s) along with the corresponding number of the card in the display case to be chosen on their behalf if their ticket is drawn. The ticket(s) will be drawn every Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM with new tickets being used each week; the prior week’s tickets will be disposed of after the drawing. One ticket will be drawn weekly. Ticket sales begin on Aug. 31 and the first drawing will be held on Sept. 10.

RULES OF THE GAME 
1. All raffle tickets are $1.00 per chance, with no limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased. Tickets may be purchased immediately after the weekly drawing and up until 6:30 PM the night of the next drawing.  No late tickets will be added to the drum, no exceptions!  

2. There can be only one name per ticket. Write your full, legal name, telephone number and card choice legibly on the back of the ticket and place in the ticket drum. Do not write nicknames or abbreviations.  If a ticket is not legible that ticket will be disposed of and a new ticket will be drawn.

3. Each Tuesday (unless otherwise posted) at 7:00 PM, a name will be drawn from the tickets purchased that week. If you show up after 7:00 PM, and your name was announced 3 times, you will be considered not present. The Clubhouse clock is the official clock. Drawings will not be held on holidays that fall on Tuesday. 

4. The total prize Jackpot will continue to accumulate weekly until the QUEEN OF HEARTS is drawn. The Jackpot amount, based on ticket sales, will be updated weekly and prominently displayed in the K’s Creek Clubhouse.

5. If your name is drawn, the card listed on the ticket will be flipped over. If the chosen card is the QUEEN OF HEARTS, the winner will receive 50% of the Jackpot.  You do NOT have to be present to win. The remaining 50% will go to the Illinois College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to support student-athlete development and programming.    

6. If the QUEEN OF HEARTS is not drawn, AND the person whose card was drawn is present the payout will be $25.  If the person whose card is drawn is NOT present, the entire pot will roll over. 

7. The QUEEN OF HEARTS game board will be displayed in K’s Creek Clubhouse. 

8. All winning players are responsible for any and all taxes. For prizes over $600 (after split), a W2-G will be issued by an Illinois College representative. NO prize over $600 will be paid until the W2-G information is completely filled out.  If a prize winner is unwilling or unable to provide W2-G information, mandatory backup federal withholding of 24% will occur.  

All prizes over $1,000 (after split) will require Form IL-5754 to be completed and subject to 4.95% Illinois withholding per the Illinois Department of Revenue.

All prizes over $5,000 (after split) will be subject to a 24% federal withholding per the Internal Revenue Service. 

9. Max payout will be in accordance with local raffle regulations and Illinois Statute 230 ILCS 15/Raffles and Poker Runs Act.
