JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College esports SSBU team closed out the NECC regular season Tuesday night with a 2-0 sweep of Illinois State University.
IC controlled the match from the start, winning Game 1 by a 4-0 score before securing the series with a 2-0 win in Game 2.
With the victory, Illinois College finishes the regular season a perfect 7-0 in matches with a 14-1 game record as the team continues its title defense.
Jake Petrovich led IC with nine KOs and just three falls for a 3.00 K/F ratio. Adam Byrd also had a strong performance with eight KOs, while Julian Luaders added four and Devin Ussery contributed three as IC completed the sweep.
