JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's tennis squad split a pair of duals on Saturday at the Bellatti Tennis Complex.
The Blueboys opened the day with a 7-0 shutout of Illinois Valley Community College before dropping an afternoon tilt to Millikin, 7-0.
IC is now 5-3 on the season.

The Blueboys wasted no time getting the lead as they swept the doubles matches to earn the first point of the contest. IC got victories from
Jeff Wernsing and
Adi Basic at No. 1,
Glenn Conway and
Andrus Dupre at No. 2, and
Drake Bartos and
Evan Aleman at No. 3.
IC continued to roll through the singles action, winning all six matches in straight sets. Basic (No. 1), Wernsing (No. 2),
Tejas Zala (No. 3), Conway (No. 4), and both Dupre's (No. 5 and 6, respectively) earned the victories.
Millikin 7 IC 0
The Big Blue won all three doubles contests to open with a 1-0 lead. IC's No. 3 team of Zala and
Ryne Breyer dopped a hard-fought 7-5 decision.
Millikin took all six singles matches in straight sets to seal the victory.
