JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College Esports competed in a pair of matches on Monday night, dropping a hard-fought MVEC contest against Buena Vista University before bouncing back with a dominant NECC sweep of Landmark College in Valorant.

The Blueboys fell 0–2 in MVEC action despite several close games throughout the night. Julian Luaders opened the match with a win in Set 1 and later added another victory in Set 2, while Jake Petrovich also picked up a key win as Illinois College pushed the second set to a narrow 4–3 loss.

Illinois College bounced back with a convincing Valorant sweep, winning 13–1 on Bind and 13–5 on Pearl. The Blueboys rotated the lineup, with Carter Naeve appearing in Game 1 and Jordan Leonardo in Game 2, while Dwight Duijneveld led the way offensively.
