Akstulewicz Named Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – Connor Akstulewicz has been named the Midwest Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced today.

It is the first weekly honor of his three-year career at Illinois College.

Akstulewicz earned the award after throwing 2.0 innings in a win over St. Scholastica. He allowed three hits and one run while striking out five. He averaged more than two strikeouts per inning in the outing.

The Blueboys are back in action Saturday, February 28, facing Millikin University and Aurora University at Millikin beginning at 11:00 a.m.
