BELOIT, Wis. – The Illinois College women's basketball team cruised to a 67-51 win over Beloit in a Midwest Conference contest on Saturday at Flood Arena.
With the victory, IC improved to 8-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Buccaneers dropped to 5-11 and 2-5.

The Lady Blues took command of this one early, racing out to a 22-15 first-quarter lead and then taking a 41-30 halftime advantage.
The second half was much of the same as IC outscored Beloit in the second half 26-22 and cruised to the road victory.
The Lady Blues had a pair of players in double figures, led by
Jayln Patterson, who poured in a game-high 24 points, while
Cora DeSutter added 13. Â The duo also had nine rebounds each to pace IC on the boards.

With her 24 points today, Patterson reached the 1,000-point mark in her career.
