ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Illinois College women's soccer squad used a balanced offensive attack to beat UHSP, 4-2, on Thursday at the Saint Louis University High School Soccer Stadium.
IC evened its record at 4-4-1 while USHP fell to 5-2-0.

The Lady Blues jumped out to an early lead when
Erin O'Connell scored her first goal of the season just 12:38 into the match on a penalty kick.
IC closed out the scoring in the first half when
Olivia Hulsey found the back of the net for her first goal of the season at 29:00, and the Lady Blues were up 2-0 at halftime.
UHSP stormed out of the gates in the second half, recording a pair of goals in the early portion of the period to tie the contest at two, but IC would roar back in the latter portion of the match.
The game-winning score came when
Katy Adler posted her third goal of the year to put IC back in front at the 72:14 mark off an assist from O'Connell. IC's
Sofia Russo provided some insurance for the Lady Blues with her second goal of the season.
IC outshot UHSP 18-9 with Adler recording a match-high six.
McKenzie Murray added three for IC.Â
Stella Gonzalez and
Jesse Trost split the duties in goal for IC, and each keeper recorded a pair of saves.
