JACKSONVILLE, Ill.  – The Illinois College men's tennis squad dropped a pair of Midwest Conference matches on Saturday inside the King Field House.
The matches were moved into the fieldhouse due to inclement weather.
Grinnell took the morning match from IC, 7-0, before Cornell nipped the Blueboys, 5-2, in the afternoon contest.

The Pioneers won the doubles point by taking all three matches. IC's
Jeff Wernsing and
Glenn Conway took Grinnell's top tandem to a 7-5 match.
Grinnell, which has won 190-straight Midwest Conference matches, was victorious all six singles matches as well. Conway was the Blueboys' top finisher, winning five games at No. 3.

The Rams were able to secure the doubles point despite an IC win from
Drake Bartos and
Momir Vickovic at No. 3.
In singles play, the Blueboys got victories from Wernsing (No. 2) and Conway (No. 3).

The Blueboys will host Webster on Sunday at the Bellotti Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
