GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Blueboys hit the road for the first time this season and fell to Greenville University, 7-6, in a non-conference game at Robert E. Smith Field.
This loss moves IC to 1-2 on the season, while Greenville improves to 3-3.

Greenville took control early in the contest, leading 4-0 through five innings of play. However, a huge three-run home run by
Adam Passmore in the top of the sixth inning put the Blueboys on the board, cutting the deficit to one.
Greenville added another run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Blueboys capitalized on defensive errors and passed balls in the seventh to take a 6-5 lead.
The Panthers answered again in the eighth inning, reclaiming the lead with a solo home run by Rhett Pennington and eventually securing the win for Greenville.
Charlie Lardi got the start for IC, pitching five innings, allowing four earned runs, and striking out eight. Passmore led the Blueboys' offense with his three-run home run, while
Louie Bartletti and
Ryne Mapes each scored twice.
