JACKSONVILLE, Ill- The Illinois College women's basketball team struggled offensively and fell to Grinnell College 72-49 at home in Sherman Gymnasium.
With the loss, the Lady Blues move to 9-13 overall and 6-8 in conference play. Grinnell moved to 16-7 overall and 10-4 in conference play and sit in 3
rd place.

The Pioneers opened the game with an 8-0 run and maintained their lead throughout the contest. Despite shooting just 36% from the field, Grinnell built a 16-point halftime lead, capitalizing on their efficiency at the free-throw line by making 14 of 16 attempts.
The Lady Blues shot 31.3% for the game and were led by
Kaity Robison, who scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
Ashlyn Wightman struggled offensively but contributed 10 points and five blocks.
Jayln Patterson added nine points for IC, while
Raegen Stringer recorded five assists.
